Terms of Service

By creating an account or using the API you agree to these terms.

The service

mbox.run provides mailbox-level email verification over a web dashboard and REST API. Results are best-effort classifications (valid, invalid, unknown, risky). We do not guarantee inbox placement or 100% accuracy. The service checks whether a mailbox exists; it is not a tool for opening or converting Unix mbox files.

Credits

One credit is consumed for one billable verification (valid or invalid). Unknown, error, and risky results are not billed. Credits do not expire. Signup bonus credits are promotional and may change.

Acceptable use

You may only verify addresses you are authorized to process. Do not use the service to attack mail systems, bypass access controls, or violate anti-spam law. We may suspend accounts that abuse infrastructure or other users.

Payments

Credit packs are prepaid. Crypto payments must match the exact amount and address shown at checkout. Credits are applied after the payment is confirmed. Chargebacks or failed transfers are not refunded automatically.

API keys

You are responsible for keeping your API key secret. Anyone with the key can spend your credits.

Limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law we are not liable for lost campaigns, sender-reputation damage, or indirect damages arising from verification results.
